The City of Summit licensed these recycling-related graphics from Kuru. The flyer's layout and text were prepared jointly by Kuru and WordStuff.

Terapin Technology introduced a new MP3 CD player / recorder / rewriter product called the "CD Reaper" and neded a press kit for it. We also created the product's logo.
As part of the press kit, we created detailed schematic diagrams of the unit's front and rear, showing controls, inputs, outputs, etc. (These were drawn completely from scratch; no clip-art was harmed in the making of these diagrams.) Clicking on the image shows a larger view. The actual images are crisp vector arwork, but these images are lower-resolution versions for the Web.

Lucent Technologies eliminated its in-house art department as a cost-saving measure. Some of its researchers and mangement then turned to Kuru for graphics work.
A team of researchers wanted to submit a paper, but the electronic filing requirement posed a problem: Their diagrams only existed as reproductions; the art department originals had been lost years ago; and scanning created fuzzy images too large to be submitted.
Kuru redrew the diagrams and create encapsulated PostScript (EPS) images for the paper. Our versions are a fraction of the size of scans and explain the concepts better than the originals. One diagram is shown below.

An invitated talk required a montage of the eight logos used by Lucent and its predecessors, including AT&T and the Bell System. Kuru scanned logos obtained from Lucent's archives, replaced damaged portions, removed backgrounds, and created a labeled montage for the presentation.
(As an interesting aside, the 1969 Bell System logo and its 1984 AT&T successor were both designed by the legendary Saul Bass (1920 - 1996). The 1969 version achieved a 93% recognition rate in the United States.)
