Business Cards
A business card is a 3.5 x 2.0 inch opportunity to explain the essence of business: what you do and how you can be contacted. It should be elegant, direct, and effective, while still being readable and uncluttered, which is a tall order for such a small canvas. Here are a few representative samples of our work:

Ancestral Art develops and sells decorative metal sculpture, and needed a card that acted as a miniature portfolio. We developed a standard-size card and a double-high card, folded in the middle, both acting as miniature portfolios.
Both cards use a very dark firebrick red for the lettering and black for the artwork. (Please note that GIFs at this size and resolution cannot accurately represent fine details such as eyes.)

The obliteration of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 left a huge organizational hole for relief efforts. New York City's Interfaith Fellowship, a non-denominational group, stepped in and oversaw the efforts at Ground Zero to feed and house relief workers.
Our three entries in their logo contest won in every category. In addition to a business card, we also created stationery and an identification badge.

Random Place is an aggregation of performance art, philosophy, and jumbled ideas. We created a business card summing it up perfectly.

Materials Chemistry offers a variety of chemistry-releated consulting services. We created a logo using a ball-and-stick molecular structure diagrams, including single- and double-chemical bonds. The card's front appears below.

AMB Deer Processing specializes in converting a hunter's legally taken deer into food for the table -- steaks, chops, ground meat, smoked-meat products, etc. AMB provides professional cutting and packaging identical to what you would expect from a professional butcher, and its skill has made it one of the largest professional deer processors in New Jersey.
We developed a card using the same deer logo and area map appearing on the company's Website, only lighter and overprinted by text. To keep costs down, this card uses only black ink in various shadings.

When it launched the business, WordStuff wanted a card that made a statement. We had developed a logo based on the graphic designer's inside joke about how publications using too many fonts end up resembling a "ransom note".
We used this logo on the card face as a stand-alone, to ensure that the bare logo would induce the recipient to turn the card over for details. The card is printed in a shades of bronze and a glossy black, with a final coat of varnish to protect the surface.

Providet is one of the larger tri-state suppliers of commercial and residential services in the areas of duct cleaning, kitchen vent hood cleaning, air filter installation and maintenance, and similar services.
As part of updating its printed materials, Providet wanted new business cards for itself and for its commercial and residential services subsidiaries. (We also created new stickers, work orders, and stationery.)
Their original business card used a red ink on a silver-gray background:

Kuru created new logos for the subsidiaries and the parent company. We created a new steam whistle logo for the commercial services card and a happy house for the home services card. To keep costs down, the new cards are printed in black and a single shade of blue, with several tints providing more colors. (Please note that the low-resolution GIF cannot accurately display fine details.)

We created a card for the home services business using a new home logo:

Providet is a "Christian" business and insisted on including this in its materials. (We only learned of this requirement half-way through the job.) The final logo is a "P" with a cross replacing the center portion of the loop. Simple and clean, yet direct. Providet was so pleased with the logo that they asked us to include it on its subsidiaries' business cards. The parent business card with its new logo is shown below:
